CM2024-08 Integrated regional energy systems

The aim of the call module Integrated regional energy systems is to promote projects that have a clear focus on contributing to the challenges on the regional level for the energy transition. Projects should be driven by consortia of need owners in a shared geographical context with the intention of developing regional system level solutions.

The target for this call module is to demonstrate how local stakeholders, regulations and markets enable various technologies on different levels to work together in an integrated system to address the regional challenges of the energy transition. As one of the call modules for system integration, it does not focus primarily on individual technological solutions, but on appropriate system approaches in a specific local and regional context. For a project within the call module, the project’s starting point will ideally build on existing initiatives and combine them together into an integrated systems approach that offers a solution for a well-defined need in the region involved in the project.
