This Call Module centers on the transformation of industries, with particular emphasis on
- Reducing emissions by supporting technological advancements and sustainable production through integrated industrial energy systems.
- Industrial transformation towards electrification by utilising renewable sources for industrial energy supply and resource-efficient industrial energy systems by developing innovative processes and system integration.
- Advancing a climate-neutral industry by increasing the use of renewables, green hydrogen (and its derivatives), and removing carbon emissions from the carbon cycle for use in industrial processes or long-lasting products
The Call Module aims to develop and demonstrate a set of technical solutions for integrated industrial energy systems that enable efficient carbon-neutral industrial production sites and take industrial energy systems into development as part of the entire energy system.
Projects should support technological leaps and industry ambitions to transition towards a more sustainable production through integrated industrial energy systems. It is expected that projects will have significant collaboration with industry.
