Call Module 2025-07: Integrated regional energy systems

Regional energy transition processes can be accelerated by nurturing the active involvement of communities, companies, and responsible bodies for energy planning. For example, by utilising flexibility and hosting high shares of regionally available renewable energy sources, by optimising and integrating supplier and consumer infrastructure, and by fostering cross-sector synergies.

This call module aims to promote regional energy systems that clearly accelerate Europe's energy transition.

Projects should demonstrate how local stakeholders, regulations, and markets enable technologies to work together in an integrated system to address the regional challenges of the energy transition. This call module does not support singular technological development of individual solutions, although technological development can be part of the projects.
