Call Module 2025-02: Energy system flexibility: renewables production, storage and system integration

For the third year in a row, in collaboration with the Green Powered Future Mission (GPFM) of Mission Innovation, this Call Module is included in the Joint Call. It addresses the challenge of integrating up to 100% variable renewable energy sources by 2030 while ensuring a cost-effective, secure, and resilient energy system. 

This Call Module addresses key aspects of the energy transition, ranging from large-scale integration of renewable energy sources into the power grids to broad technological and market aspects as well as approaches towards system integration. Moreover, digitalisation and standardisation need to be duly considered by the applicants. 

The Call Module primarily focuses on R&D, but consortia are invited to involve industry and to work with partners from outside Europe.
