About the project
FLEXI is an interdisciplinary project towards the clean energy transition (CET), focused on system integration and uses holistic, integrated, and transdisciplinary approach in all three dimensions of the CETP Integrative Innovation Model. FLEXI gathers an interdisciplinary consortium of 8 partners from 5 EU countries and advances from TRL3 to TRL4.
FLEXI aims to achieve five objectives:
- Objective 1: Enhance demand forecasting WITH LLM-driven Energy Assistant for re-source owners THROUGH information collection from the resource owners using LLM-mediated inter-action.
- Objective 2: Enable energy system integration WITH federation of DTs THROUGH a sustainable data platform (SDP) for enhanced forecasting and flexible operations.
- Objective 3: Enhance flexibility markets and increase resource owner revenues WITH a novel Flexibility-as-a-Service business model THROUGH the creation of a new market entity – flexibility bank – which incentivizes resource owners for their commitment to deposit their flexibility in exchange for modelled financial benefits.
- Objective 4: Integrate and validate FLEXI WITH two living laboratories (FENR and SIE) THROUGH at least seven EU and two international energy markets.
- Objective 5: Increase the engagement of the FLEXI’s consortium into CET Partnership Knowledge Community and maximise the project results’ visibility and broader impact of FLEXI THROUGH a robust dissemination, exploitation and communication strategy.
