Sunflower

Sustainable Near-net-shape Fabrication of Low Environmental impact Receiver materials

The general objective of the proposed project SUNFLOWER is the development of highly efficient absorber structures for open volumetric receivers (OVR) for Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants with low environmental impact.

HyLife

HyLife

Microbial risks associated to hydrogen underground storage in Europe

The main objective of HyLife is to "validate the suitability of European subsurface structures (caverns/reservoirs) as safe and economically viable H₂ storage sites by systematically investigating the potential microbial reactions and identifying key influencing parameters.

  • TRI 3: Enabling Climate Neutrality with Storage Technologies Renewable Fuels and CCU/CCS

NextGen

Demonstrating the NextGeneration of Direct Drive Generators for Wind Energy

NextGen is about demonstrating a new direct drive generator concept, which through the novel PTF-technology enables a high efficiency and an extremely high torque density.

  • TRI 2: Enhanced zero emission Power Technologies

STRAWBERRIES

Solar Thermal Agriculture with Bifacial Collectors for Farming Synergies

Against the background of the competition for space, bifacial Agri-photovoltaic systems were developed to combine power production with farming (cf. Agri-PV systems; Next2Sun). A solar thermal implementation of this bifacial system concept does not yet exist. The aim of the project is to accelerate the development and commercialisation of this innovative renewable heating technology that enables new ways for implementing solar thermal (ST) heating systems in Europe by 2030.

  • TRI 4: Efficient zero emission heating and cooling solutions

PVT4EU

Photovoltaic Thermal For Europe

The green and digital transitions of the European economy and its energy systems require sustainable, secure, and climate-neutral technologies. The industrial sector is a major energy consumer in the European Union (EU) accounting for a third of its final energy consumption, which mainly comes from fossil fuels.
