There are three layers of requirements to check: transnational requirements for the consortium, Call Module-specific requirements, and national or regional requirements of the funding organisation in your country or region.

Yes. Organisations may participate in multiple proposals, provided they have sufficient resources and comply with national funding requirements.

Yes. Each partner must comply with the eligibility requirements of their respective funding organisation.

Yes — funding decisions are implemented according to national and regional regulations.

Minimum requirements vary by Call Module and should always be verified in the call documentation. As a baseline, a consortium must include at least three partners from three different countries, of which at least two must be from EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.

Successful consortia often combine research organisations, industry, SMEs, public authorities and other stakeholders.

Yes. Industry participation supports innovation uptake and market relevance.

Matchmaking events help applicants identify partners and build transnational consortia.

Proposals are assessed against three main evaluation criteria: Excellence, Impact, and Quality and efficiency of the implementation. Each criterion is scored on a scale of 0–5.

Independent experts with relevant scientific, technical, industrial or policy expertise.

All evaluators are bound by confidentiality agreements and conflict-of-interest rules. Evaluators declare their confidentiality, impartiality, and independence before the evaluation starts, and are excluded if a conflict of interest is identified.

Yes — applicants receive an Evaluation Summary Report (ESR) after both Stage 1 (pre-proposal) and Stage 2 (full proposal).

Projects usually start after national funding decisions and grant agreements have been completed.

Project duration varies and is defined in the Call Module documentation. Projects generally last between 12 and 36 months.

Yes — funded projects must comply with reporting requirements.

Yes — projects are expected to share knowledge and results. Participation in the CETPartnership Knowledge Community is mandatory for all funded projects.

There are seven Transition Initiatives (TRIs). The TRIs are the main acting bodies of CETPartnership — they define the Call Modules for each annual joint call, organise thematic stakeholder management, and implement activities on knowledge management and impact.

CETPartnership currently supports 163 active projects.
