The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) supports transnational research and innovation activities across Europe to accelerate the development, integration and scale‑up of clean energy technologies. Within CETPartnership, Transition Initiatives 2 and 3 (TRI2 and TRI3) address complementary segments of the innovation landscape, from advanced renewable energy technologies and system integration to carbon management, hydrogen and renewable fuels.
The TRI2–TRI3 Collaborative Workshop on Innovation for a Clean Energy Transition is conceived as a three‑day, onsite event bringing together projects funded under Call TRI2 Calls 2022 and 2023, with additional poster participation from Call 2024. The workshop provides a dedicated space to connect technologies, system perspectives and actors along complete value‑chain pathways, from resource availability and technology development to infrastructure, markets and end‑use applications.
Beyond showcasing individual project results, the workshop explicitly focuses on how technologies interact, integrate and scale when embedded in real system and value‑chain contexts. By bringing together TRI2 and TRI3 communities, the event aims to identify shared challenges, complementarities and leverage points across domains such as CCUS, hydrogen, renewable fuels, materials, photovoltaics, CSP and integrated energy systems.
The event is by invitation only for onsite participation, and parts of the event will be live-streamed.

Objectives
The main objectives of the workshop are to:
- Enable in-depth technical exchange within and across TRI2 and TRI3 project portfolios, going beyond project‑level results.
- Analyse value‑chain pathways, from resource availability and technology development to infrastructure, markets and end‑use applications, to identify critical interfaces, gaps and leverage points for accelerating deployment
- Identify cross‑cutting challenges and opportunities across renewable energy technologies, system integration, hydrogen, renewable fuels, and carbon management.
- Promote collaboration and cross‑pollination between projects at different TRLs.
- Discuss scale‑up bottlenecks, integration challenges and enabling conditions (technical, systemic, regulatory).
